Xi Jinping Meet Prime Minister Prayut of Thailand: Satisfied With Railway Cooperation Between Two Countries

Xi Jinping stressed that China-Thailand cooperation was always at the forefront of cooperation between China and the Association of the Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). Both sides should earnestly advance cooperation in railway, agriculture and other fields, continue exerting the guiding and exemplary role and drive regional connectivity. Prayut expressed that Thailand and China reached an agreement on railway cooperation, and this was the best New Year gift to the Thai people. Thailand is willing to take an actively part in the initiative of jointly building the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road put forward by China, deepen cooperation in railway, telecommunications, tourism and other areas, facilitate regional connectivity and march toward the goal of establishing the Free Trade Area of the Asia-Pacific (FTAAP).
