In March 26th, Li Xiaopeng, governor of Shanxi province, made special investigations in the Shanxi section of the South Central Railway Passage to sea; and in the device detection vehicle, he chaired a seminar on railway construction and made arrangements of major projects such as the deployment of railway construction work. He emphasized to seize the opportunity, clear objectives, implement the responsibility, and strengthen measures, and with a fine style of work, to have the courage to play right away, continue to set off a new upsurge of the project construction, so as to drive the rapid growth of investment, smooth economic running and the acceleration of the development transition in Shanxi province. The executive vice governor Gao Jianmin was also in this investigation, he was a member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee.
 
Shanxi South Central Railway Passage to sea is an important part of our coal transportation, and a new artery for coal to be transported out of Shanxi. In the west, this railway line starts from the Watang Town, Xingxian County in our province, and ends at the Rizhao Port in Shandong province in the east. It is 1269 kilometers in length; in our province, it is 601 kilometers. The construction was started in December, 2009; the main line has been opened at the end of last year. Li Xiaopeng has attached great importance to the construction of the South Central Railway, and has made much special coordination and solved major problems. He has successively made official researches at the construction site for 8 times. This time he also traveled by the device detection vehicle, made an inspection of the operation across the Shanxi section. He made coordination and pushed forward the construction work of the coal transport stations, the special railway lines and other facilities along the line.
