Rail container traffic between China and the EU via Belarus registered a threefold increase in 2014 compared to the previous year, amounting to 40,600 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEU). Belarusian Railways transport cargo in container trains from China to a number of European countries, including Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic. In 2014, Belarusian Railways carried 193,100 TEU. Today, 25 fixed-route container trains deliver cargo through Belarus. In March 2014, the new container train from China to Europe was launched in partnership with UTLC Project Office and DHL Global Forwarding.
