KUALA LUMPUR, Oct. 23 (Xinhua) -- Malaysia's oil and gas service provider T7 Global announced on Monday that it had formed a partnership with three companies, including a Malaysian unit of China State Construction Engineering Corporation, to undertake the construction of East Coast Rail Line (ECRL) project.

T7 Global said in a report to Bursa Malaysia, the country's stock exchange authority, that it had entered a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with China State Construction Engineering (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd (CSCEM), Eastern Pacific Industrial Corporation (EPIC), and CMC Engineering (CMC), to jointly form a strategic partnership for the project.

"The MoU will provide an opportunity for the parties to establish collaboration based on respective party's expertise and strengths," it said.

EPIC, CMC and T7 Global desire to collaborate as a consortium to undertake the construction of ECRL, while CSCEM is expected to be the technology partner in this strategic partnership to ensure the smooth implementation of the project.

The three parties also aim to enter a formal long form business collaboration agreement, detailing the relations and full obligations of the parties on the basis of this MoU in accordance with the secured contracts obtained from the federal government.

EPIC is a Terengganu state government linked corporation, which involved in services and facilities for marine and oil & gas industries. CMC is a Malaysian company specializing in turnkey services of engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning for the railway industry.
