      The Ulanqab - East Hohhot Section of Zhangjiakou-Hohhot High-Speed Railway will open to traffic on August 3.

　　The section runs from Ulanqab City to Hohhot City via Zhuozi County, covering a total length of 126 km. It passes through four stations including Ulanqab Station, Zhuozi East Station and Hohhot East Station, with an operating speed of 250 km/h.

　　Construction of the section started in March 2014 and the joint commissioning and test began in May 2017. At the initial stage of operation, there will be five pairs of EMU trains in operation. The travel time from Ulanqab to Hohhot East is shortened from 56 minutes to 39 minutes for the fastest train.
