The Renaissance CR400BF multiple unit train has proprietary intellectual property rights in several key technologies and has become the flagship product for China's high-speed multiple unit trains.
The hybrid multiple unit train also attracted numerous visitors. As the first of its kind in China, it can reach a speed of 160 km/h when connected with overhead contact lines and 120 km/h when running on just battery or hybrid power.
The full-automatic driving train, with a max speed of 80 km/h, is the first automatic rail transit operation system with proprietary intellectual property rights in China.
It began operating on the Beijing Yanfang line on Dec 30, 2017 and is compatible with manned, ATO (automatic train operation), man on duty and pilotless modes of operation.
Finally, the low floor tramcar, running on the Wuhan Guanggu line, is comprised of five modules, has a max speed of 70 km/h, and can carry 368 people. It requires no overhead contact line and comes equipped with Wi-Fi and local area network entertainment services.
The four trains were independently developed by CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles Company, which established a subsidiary corporation known as Chongqing Zhongche Changke Railway Vehicles Company in Liangjiang New Area, Chongqing in January 2017.
Chongqing Zhongche Changke Railway Vehicles Company specializes in the design, development, manufacturing, marketing, and maintenance of monorail trains, metros, double modern urban express trains and special rail transit vehicles.
It is currently able to produce 500 vehicles and maintain 300 vehicles per year and has become the largest urban rail transit vehicle production base in southwest China and the largest monorail train research and production base in the world.
In addition, the Chongqing branch center of the National Railway Vehicle Engineering Research Center, established in 2016, has overcome several international monorail technical problems and gained over 50 patents.
