A train with 328 passengers aboard derailed in southeastern Mongolia early Sunday morning, with no deaths reported, according to local media reports.

The accident took place at around 7:30 am local time (2330 GMT, Saturday) when the place was pounded by heavy rain.

The train was traveling from the Mongolian capital Ulan Bator to Zamiin-Uud soum in the southeastern province of Dornogovi.

Even though no deaths were reported in the accident, there are reports of many injuries. The injured have been offered emergency services.

The accident is currently under further investigation, and railway traffic in the area was indefinitely halted.
