Chinese exhibitors focus on innovation at InnoTrans railway trade fair

 Chinese exhibitors are showcasing their innovative products and services here on the bi-annual "InnoTrans" railway industry trade fair, the largest of its kind in the world.

CRRC Zhuzhou Locomotive (CRRC ZELC), an advanced company in China in the rail industry, released on Wednesday the shunting locomotive specially customized for German rail service provider Deutsche Bahn (DB).

It is reported that the locomotive will be delivered directly to Germany Hamburg depot, serving the German market after the fair.

"This is s typical green product with new technology, new material, new process and new structure," Sun Yongcai, CEO of CRRC Corporation Limited, introduced at the technology release conference of DB hybrid shunting locomotive.

CRRC is set to build various transportation systems and to contribute its products, technologies, wisdom and solutions to the development of global rail and human civilization, Sun said.

China Railway Signal & Communication Co.,Ltd(CRSC) is another Chinese company to invest notably in the innovation.

According to Zhao Xiaodong, assistant president of CRSC, Chinese companies now own the technologies of the same level as their European rivals do. Meanwhile, Chinese companies profit significantly from the big domestic market and have lots of opportunities to put their products and services into practice.

Zhao said that its rail transportation control systems will be more intelligent, interconnected and networked in the future.

"Innovative technology, management, thinking and cooperation with local companies would be the right way for CRSC to further develop and expand its business on the world stage," Zhao concluded.

Some 3,062 exhibitors from 61 countries and regions with over 400 new products have participated in the Berlin Exhibition Grounds. Over 62 percent of them are foreign participants.

Around 180 Chinese exhibitors, with a total of exhibiting area of more than 6,000 square metres, have attended the fair.
