The Beijing to Xiongan high-speed railway has adopted China's BeiDou satellite positioning technology to help lay tracks, Science and Technology Daily reported on Tuesday.
The report said the track-laying machine is equipped with Beidou's positioning technology, with cameras installed at the front and rear of the machine for real-time transmission of video footage and the locomotive's speed to ensure intelligent track-laying.
The report said the construction of Xiongan station will use advanced technologies such as Internet of Things, big data and artificial intelligence.
It will only take 20 minutes to travel from Beijing West Railway Station to Daxing International Airport after the section is finished on September 30.
