Passengers use facial recognition machines as they pass through platform barriers at Shenyang North Railway Station in Shenyang, capital of Liaoning province, on Jan 16. The station’s installation of the new technology started in October 2018 and finished on Jan 15. It is hoped that the new machines will shorten waiting times for passengers, improving the efficiency of the public transportation network.
