On February 14, 2015, Angola's longest railway line, which was built by Chinese companies, formally put into operation. This is the longest, fastest and largest of the modern railway in the Angolan railway history. The length of railway line is 1344-km, from West of Lobito and the end at the border town of Luau with Congo. As the main line of the railway of the new express passenger and freight haulage, locomotives are made from CNR Dalian Locomotive & Rolling Stock Co., Ltd.

15 locomotives are equipped with electronic control fuel injection diesel engine, with reliable performance, the maximum service power 1715 kW, the maximum operating speed of 90 km/hr and gauge 1067mm.
