In the last month, the first train of the second EMU project exported to Malaysia was completed in CSR Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Company, which is the fastest meter-gage EMU in the world. On the day of completion, Minister of Transportation boarded the train on the field and praised its high quality and human-focused design.
 

    In 2010, the first contract for inter-city meter-gage EMU containing 38 cars was signed between CSR Zhuzhou Company and Ministry of Transportation of Malaysia. Since 2012, trains of this project have been put into operation by batch. To ensure normal operation and proper maintenance of these vehicles, CSR Zhuzhou Company set up the first overseas 4s shop (maintenance center) for EMU in Malaysia, CSR (Kuala Lumpur) Maintenance Company. This company has been always committed to providing quality maintenance services for the customer and adequate technical support for stable operation of the vehicles, and excellent performance and quality of the rolling stock has won wide acceptance of the public.
 

    SCS EMU has effectively relieve the traffic pressure in Kuala Lumpur and facilitated travel of the public. During the Thaipusam festival in January of 2013, SCS EMU kept operating for four days with technical support provided by CSR (Kuala Lumpur) Maintenance Company. In May of 2013, to insure voting of the public during the general election, SCS EMU also provided uninterrupted operation for 72 hours. During the Thaipusam festival in January of 2014, SCS EMU has continuously operated for five days, refreshing the record set last year. Its excellent performance has made it the first choice for travel of the public. In the past two years, CSR (Kuala Lumpur) Maintenance Company has provide superior maintenance service for the owner and won the customer's praise.
 

    As introduced by Mr. Zhou Qinghe, the president and general manager of CSR Zhuzhou Company, the second maintenance contract for SCS EMU is an approval for both their product quality and maintenance service. Currently CSR Zhuzhou Company has set up not only the maintenance company, but also a production base in Malaysia, which is to be put into operation in near future. On that occasion, CSR Zhuzhou Company will provide technical support for Malaysia and achieve localized manufacturing, and thereby set a firm base for a long-term strategic cooperation between the two countries.
